Better Than Real Artificial Grass installed this fake lawn in a backyard in San Bruno, just south of San Francisco, California. The landscape area in this backyard was in a really bad shape. The surface was only dirt and a bunch of grown weeds spread unevenly through the lawn area. In the back corner there is a tall tree with river stones out of place around the trunk. This client gave up on his lawn because of the costs in maintenance and water bills, and the constant  threat from weeds, which never stopped growing. With a fake grass installation, the grow of weeds can be stopped because the ground is prepared in a way where excavation is done, at least 3" down, and then this gap gets filled again using either base rock or decomposed granite. This base gets graded and compacted, and on top of this base we lay down and secure a weed barrier fabric. This landscape fabric will definitively stop weed germination under the artificial lawn. Better Than Real Artificial Grass installed approximately 250 sqft of fake turf type SD-90 Field Green with dead ends.
