The homeowner started remodeling the entire backyard because it didn't have any landscape at all, just a cement patio. She has two little active dogs, and they didn't have an area neat and safe to run and play. The backyard surface was dirt only, which made the pets get dirty easily. After rain, the backyard surface was muddy, very inconvenient for her pets, which could also leave muddy prints inside the house. The client knew natural sod will not grow well because of the daily use by her pets, so she decided to go with an artificial lawn. She had a contractor do the lay out in the backyard where the different areas for her landscape plan were divided with bender boards. The landscaping plan included garden beds, mulching, planting shrubs & maple trees, a water fountain and of course a new fake lawn.
