This is the Ronald McDonald House in Stanford where I work at, and since our immune-compromise patients are not able to play on real grass, artificial turf was an obvious solution for our 2,700 sqft back lawn area. We also host occasional events there, and gopher holes and mud was always a possible issue.

The owner of Better Than Real Artificial Grass, Jorge Jimenez, personally ran the crew. They arrived on time everyday. He and his staff installed our entire lawn in four days (one day ahead of schedule), and ensured the work site was clean and tidy at all times. Not only is the lawn accessible to ALL our houseguests, we expect to save on water and maintenance costs that will be dedicated to other family service programs or needs.

When we decided to install artificial synthetic turf at our new house my husband did a tremendous amount of research before we made a final decision to move ahead. We received a quote from a major company but this company only averaged 1.5 stars when we checked Yelp reviews. Thanks to Yelp reviewers, we located two other artificial synthetic turf companies and asked for quotes.

Jorge, the owner of Better Than Real Artificial Grass, came to our house, measured, told us about the company and gave us a quote. My husband contacted German, the Showroom Manager at the Santa Clara location, with questions via email that were always answered promptly and in detail.

We drove by some of the houses where they had done work and visited the Showroom in Santa Clara. German was very helpful at the Showroom, again answering questions. One thing that impressed us was that whenever we mentioned something he went on the Internet and researched the issue if he did not already have the answer. We felt that both Jorge and German were direct, honest and open in their responses to our questions and in educating us about artificial synthetic grass. We also liked the fact that the folks who did the work were employees, not day hires or contract workers. Obviously, we hired them to do our lawn.

We decided to do only the backyard. The Better Than Real Artificial Grass team showed up at 11 am and worked past dark the first day. The lawn was completed by early afternoon the following day. All the workers were very pleasant and man, did they ever work hard. It was in the 90's both days but they hardly took a break. They totally cleaned up the premises both days after they were done. Jorge was there both days, not only supervising his crew, but working right alongside them most of the time.

We love the backyard, and so does our dog. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, attention to detail, and courtesy. Oh...one more thing...they had the best pricing of any of the companies we spoke with. Better Than Real Artificial Grass doesn't have flashy handout materials or do TV advertising so they offer a very competitive price. And, you get your monies worth, for sure!

Better Than Real Artificial Grass did the installation of artificial synthetic turf in our backyard in one day.  The estimate was less then the "other guys" (HG) and the artificial grass product and the workmanship of the installation was first class. Jorge and German held to their original estimate and had the installation crew at our house right on time on the promised day.  My wife and I and our 2 bulldogs love the new artificial synthetic lawn installed by Better Than Real Artificial Grass. The crew left my backyard and patio cleaner than it was before they started.

They are AMAZING! We could not be happier with the quality of landscape work that was done in our backyard... we are thinking of having the front yard done now also. The quality of the products they use is great...and dog resistant which was important for us because our dogs had dug up huge holes in the grass (which was the main reason why we went for the artificial turf instead).

My backyard used to be dirty and muddy because the soil didn't drain well.  However, this problem was solved since we have the artificial lawn and synthetic putting green installed by Better Than Real Artificial Grass a month ago.  It had rained a few times already and I was surprised to find that there's no water puddles at all!  We are very happy with the owner Jorge Jimenez and his installation crew. Our artificial synthetic grass was installed in one and half days. We had done residential artificial grass with a putting green.
