Our working criteria
Mark the area, measure the length and width, be sure about the footage to install.
Cap off the irrigation system, when this applies.
Prepare the grass area, remove any obstacles, excavate about 3 inches of soil.
Install synthetic bender boards, or nailer board, around all the perimeter.
Spread base rock over the area where the artificial grass has to be installed, build a base about 3 inches thick.
The base rock is leveled, graded and compacted until a smooth base is formed.
Then the weed barrier is installed in order to prevent germination of weeds beneath the artificial grass.
Pre-cut the artificial grass to fit the installation area; trim the edges such that it fits firmly against the borders.
Spread the infill material (sand and crumb rubber, or Envirofill upgrade infill) over the artificial grass.
Use a power broom, or push broom, to send the infill material to the base of the fibers, the infill material and the grooming stand the blades up.
Clean up the artificial grass and adjacent area to remove and pick up any leftover, remnants, materials, tools and equipment.
